Davina Chaplin Memorial Prize is awarded to Samantha Bromwich

BA (Hons) Management in Events graduate, Samantha Bromwich joined UCLan having already achieved a Foundation Degree and is now the proud holder of a first class degree.  She has been awarded chosen as this year's recipient of the Davina Chaplin Memorial Prize which is awarded to a top up student who has demonstrated high levels of academic achievement.

One thing that was very important to Sam in her time with us was the support that was made available to her: ‘The Tourism, Hospitality and Event division were very supportive right from the outset of starting at UCLan as they provided loads of helpful information which was very useful to someone starting at a new university in their final year. Lecturers and personal tutors are always willing to answer questions and provide help even if it isn’t directly related to the work, there are also other support avenues…’

The field trip to Cambodia was a highlight of Sam’s time at University, which she ‘will remember long after my days at UCLan’.  As for the future, she has undertaken a role at Syngenta (one of the largest global agribusinesses) to provide Event Management support. Sam is gaining an increasing amount of Event Management experience to underpin an exciting career in Event Management. Good luck Sam!
