Hollie's ambassadorial role

The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) have chosen a UCLan Event Management student as an ambassador to represent the North of England as part of their 25-year anniversary celebrations.

Following her nomination by UCLan, Hollie Brown was one of only 17 students chosen from over 50 universities to receive the accolade reserved for Year Two undergraduates.

Each nominated student is given free membership for the academic year, a profile on the ABPCO website, the honour of representing ABPCO to their fellow students and the opportunity to network with ABPCO conference & event organiser members through their events programme which includes workshops, roundtable events, exhibitions and conferences.

Hollie has also received a personal invitation as an ambassador for Northern England to the Chairman's lunch in London during November. This is a very prestigious occasion, with only 40 event professionals and students from across the UK invited each year.

In addition to a lunch and networking opportunities, it will take the form of a roundtable discussion on the theme of 'the new professional.'

Hollie has a strong interest in the conference and events industries and hopes to work in the sector on graduation. This opportunity is not only acknowledgment of Hollie's skills and potential, but also industry recognition of UCLan’s Event Management programme.
